Meeting in Hamm

April 16 was the day D for us - we set off for our journey to Hamm. Our "Czech team" consisted of five students (Veronika Holowková, Simona Partyšová, Kateřina Mencnerová, Natálie Orszulíková and Monika Fábryová) and two English teachers (Bohdana Urbanová and Jana Kohutová). We had decided to go by train and we arrived to Hamm in the evening where we were already expected by our kind host families. And the international week started.

During the week we got a lot of new experiences and saw a lot of interesting places. We not only exchanged results of our project work, but we also visited Turkish moshee built by the Turkish immigrants in Hamm and a Hindu temple, which was a really interesting experience for us. We also worked in small groups on the topic of migration and then presented the results either as a theatre and dance performance, posters, songs and other.

We visited Münster, a historic town, Cologne with the famous cathedral and especially got to know Hamm, our partner town.

To sum it up, we spent a wonderful week in Germany and were happy to meet our friends, get more information about our cultures and practised foreign languages as well.
